What to do when arriving for an appointment

Burnfield is currently restricting access for the safety of all patients and staff.

DO NOT enter the practice if you are experiencing any covid symptoms e.g. loss of taste or smell, continuous cough and/or temperature. If you require a Covid test go to - https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test 

DO enter the practice if you have an appointment and have been authorized by Reception or a clinician to do so. When you arrive for your appointment please enter the practice as close to your appointment time as possible, use the self-check-in screen and take a seat in the waiting room. 

DO bring your own mask and adhere to measurements put in please for the safety of all patients and staff

Prescriptions can be ordered as normal. We now have 'Drop' boxes at the front door for prescription and sample drop-off.

If you have Coronavirus symptoms 

As of 1st April, NHS 24 will no longer be advising on Covid symptoms during GP opening hours. Should you have any coronavirus symptoms and need to speak to your GP, please call 01463 220077 and make an appointment. The NHS 24 Covid line will still be available out with our opening hours.

Spring Covid Booster Programme for Over 75s

Please do not contact the practice regarding the Spring Covid Booster Programme.

NHS Highland will be sending out letters to those who are eligible with appointment dates and times. If you have received an appointment letter from NHS Scotland, and the appointment is not convenient, you can contact the National Helpline. 

Citizens who are registered with their GP as being housebound will be contacted and vaccinated at home. If a patient receives an appointment to attend a clinic and cannot attend because they are housebound, they should email nhsh.covidvaccine@nhs.scot or call our the Enquiry Hub on 08000 320 339 where the team will be happy to assist.

Non NHS Services - Medical examinations

We offer a wide range of medical examinations including HGV/PSVs and OGUK Offshore medicals for existing and private patients.  Please contact our reception team for further information or to make an appointment 01463 220077.
